  7. SPECIAL VERSION OF ISTAR

  9. A bug prevented Istar working on 4000 and 3000s.  I *think* it has
  10. now been fixed.  At least it now works on my 4000 and 3000.
  11.  
  12. This version is for those who need it.  But it is only interim, and
  13. will put out loads of tracing text on standard output.  To speed it
  14. up, run from CLI and redirect output to ram: file as:
  15.  
  16.   Istar1.045.trace >ram:run
  17.  
  18. Let me know if this works OK.  If it does, then 1.05 will follow soon.

  20. COMING for 1.05:
  21.  
  22. Dynamic document creation.  
  23. Text pieces.  Items with text attached and an 'Included' attribute.
  24. On click of a button a new document will be created from those
  25. text piece in which the Included is TRUE.
  26.  
  27. So you can make up your own docs.
  28.  
  29. The basic mechanism works now.  But I still have to:
  30.     . Give you a mechanism for entering your own text of pieces
  31.     . Allow you to export the document out, e.g. as HTML.
  32.     . Tidy it up.
  33. But so far it has been used for writing construction contracts.
